Rehab Thousand Oaks

Aside from the fact that more than 95% of people who try to kick drugs and alcohol on their own won't stay sober for more than a year, there are many benefits in going to rehab. Not the least of these benefits is specialized care. Wildwood Recovery is a rehab in Thousand Oaks whose team consists of some of the leading addiction specialists in California, and we've been dealing with our own addictions and our clients' addictions for years. We know what works and what doesn't.

You Need Help!

Many people still try to do it themselves. Whether it's for reasons of finances, social anxiety, previous failed rehab experiences, or any other reason, many people do not seek the professional help they need. But why would you face recovery alone? Trying to recover from drugs and alcohol alone is like trying to sail across an ocean by yourself. Sure you might be successful, Then again, without a professional team, boat, equipment, and supplies, you might die in the process. Don't be ashamed to seek the help you need, and don't wait until it's too late to ask for help!

Choosing the Right Rehab

Only you can define what a great rehab is and which kind of rehab will work best for you. It's important to know that not all rehabs are created equally. Not all rehabs produce the same long-term sobriety success rates in their clients. So what do you define as a great rehab?

Many people prefer luxury rehabs. These people pay thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars, for five-star amenities and posh accommodations. Sadly, these kinds of rehabs have horrible sobriety results. If luxury what you're looking for, why not just go on a vacation!?

Some people prefer big rehabs, assuming that the larger the facility is and the more people who are getting treated there, the better the facility must be. Still, others like holistic addiction treatment or secular addiction treatment facilities. Wildwood Recovery is a unique rehab. We admit only six patients at a time, we have a comfortable and beautiful facility, and most importantly, we have high success rates because what we do works.

The Advantages of a Small Rehab

Having only six patients at a time allows us to build an atmosphere that's conducive to recovery. A lot of times, in larger rehabs, there are too many people for individuals to get the hands-on care that they need. Unfortunately, many fall through the proverbial cracks in these rehabs.

Further, many clients have a hard time opening up to large groups of strangers, but our small setting allows for quick familiarity with other clients and staff. Small groups are easier to manage, and since we admit only six people at a time, we can select only the best candidates who are ready to apply themselves entirely to working a recovery program. Therefore, you know that everybody here is committed to recovery.

Our daughter went through rapid detox about 4 months ago. She was addicted to opiates after pain suffered in a car accident over 2 years ago. Through counseling, she finally decided that she "wanted to get her life back." We did not know that she was addicted, but we knew that she was in constant pain,
